This home is built on a very steep north facing hinterland block in subtropical Queensland. The multi-coloured two storey rammed earth walls form the entrance and south walls of the home. The north face is of light weight construction, with a large deck and glass doors to maximise the indoor-outdoor living opportunities.  The deck has a vergola roof, which can be opened when the owners want sunshine to enter the house, and closed when the weather is too hot or too wet.
